Chaplaincy Ministries, Inc. is a 3-fold ministry that provides pastoral care to the patients, families and staff at Medical City Dallas Hospital.

The Ministry was founded in 1979 by the late Mary C. Crowley in appreciation for the recovery of her son. The Chaplaincy Ministry was formally recognized in 1982 and has chaplains on call 24/7 that respond to all codes and provide counseling for patients, families and staff. The Ministry also assists new nurses and interns by providing lectures and training. The chaplains perform weddings and funerals for the patients and staff as well as present seminars on grief and stress management in addition to the other invaluable services that benefit the many people that they serve.
